Block Party: Permits appears to be what this month is all about. We just received our permit for the community block party, so we have changed the date. The original date gave us no time to prepare. Please mark August 30 on your calendar, as that is the new date for the block party. It will be on 27th Ave. between Irving and Lincoln. Everyone in the area is invited to attend. The hours will be from 11:00am-2:00pm.

We are most concerned that the PCE, a carcinogen and neurotoxin found in the vicinity of 2550 Irving,, as well as on that site be cleaned up, removed, eliminated. Attached you will find a letter written by one of our neighbors, whose home and family have been affected by the PCE (tetrachloroethylene) in the neighborhood. Please take a minute to read the letter, which will be published in local papers this next week. At the end of the letter is a link to a petition
