What’s News - April, 2025

Thanks to the over 100 neighbors who signed the petition requesting Mayor  Lurie’s office engage with Department of Toxic Substances Control and the City of San Francisco Planning Department to see to it that the toxic tetrachloroethylene (PCE) in the soil and air in the area around 2513 and 2550 Irving Street be completely remediated. We will follow up with you as progress is made.

Below you will find an invitation to participate in decisions related to the art project TNDC has committed to placing on the new building at 2550 Irving Street.

share an amazing art installation opportunity on Irving Street!

Please  click on the link  and take a moment to share your input and feedback!  In partnership with the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC), the SCCD is outreaching to community members who live, work, and thrive in the Sunset District. The goal of the engagement is to collect community input and identify parameters for an art installation at the affordable housing site. The deadline to complete the survey is Thursday May 15, 2025.

The first community meeting on Saturday April 26 will dive into a deeper conversation about the art installation. At the last meeting on Saturday , community members will have the opportunity to vote for the artist and the art installation design that will be displayed at the housing site by 2026.
